Our History

We are a small family owned and run business in Williston, VT. In 2008, with 2 small children, and a desire to make affordable, nutrient dense, delicious foods for kids, we took the plunge as entrepreneurs.

Oh ya, in 2008 the economy collapsed, and flour prices went from $9/bag to $45/bag almost overnight!

For the few years, we were open 7 days/week, serving lunch and dinner, while trying to build up the wholesale side of our operation. Thankfully, we were able to focus on wholesale and get a little sleep... though that didn't last long after kids #3 and #4.

Ten years later, we are strictly a wholesale specialty food producer making Italian-American foods with clean simple ingredient lists and nothing else.

Background

Dan grew up in food - part of Rom's Restaurant which was a community staple for over 50 years in Sturbridge, MA. He watched the hard-work and sacrifices required to make a restaurant work, and thought... how crazy! After getting a biology degree, he worked for various companies ranging from a dot com startup, to a non-profit, to a multinational corporation, and a family run consumer goods company. During that time, he got his MSA in Business from Saint Michael's College. Dan is also a Master Gardener and coaches youth sports.
